MAJ302. Survey of English Literature. Middle Ages to Romanticism
Colloquium 2 Information
- You can take Colloquium 2 ONLY if you have passed Colloquium 1 AND you you have turned in and received a passing grade (51% or higher) in at least THREE assignments.Otherwise you must take the final exam in January.
- The Colloquium will consist of questions taken from the reading questions for each reading assignment.
- I will give you a set of questions for each reading, and you will be asked to answer only a certain number of them.
- You must answer each questions with a complete and grammatically correct sentence. Each question will be worth 3 points.
- Your answers must be SPECIFIC to the work in question, and not just a rephrasing of the question.
- Provide specific examples or facts where required.
- Your answers should not be longer than 1-2 sentences, depending on the question.
- You will need to bring a copy of the assigned poems to the exam. The only acceptable copy is the one listed in Moodle. Click here to access and print out the poems. Please make sure that you bring your own copy to the exam. You may not borrow someone else's copy during the exam. Pope's "Epistle" is NOT included in the set of poems and you may not bring a copy of that poem.
- Bring your own blank paper (tabak) to the exam.
- I suggest that you read all of the reading assignments that you have not already read and go through the reading questions carefully.
- Although I encourage you to study for the exam in groups, keep in mind that you still must have read all of the assigned works on your own. It may happen that someone might give you wrong answers during study sessions.
