Stenberg, G. A. "Crane". 1920

Notes: Crane. Georgi Stenberg's "Crane" (1920) and Vladimir Stenberg's "Color Structure No. 4" (1920) are both excellent examples of the "color constructs" shown at the 1921 Society of Young Artists (OBMOKhU) exhibition, which they helped organize, and at the private exhibition they held with Medunetsky (see ImageBase) at the Caf? Poetov in 1922. The Stenberg brothers played leading roles in the Constructivist movement; these particular works typify the more decorative Constructivist vein common to artists who began their career in OBMOKhU.
