This painting of the Futurist poet Vasily Kamensky displays both the characteristics of Neoprimitivism in the icon-like simplicity of its composition, and of Futurism in the rays of color which suggest dynamism and movement. One of the artist's best known works, it is inscribed in Russian: "King of Poets, song champion, Futurist Vasily Vasilievich Kamensky. 1917. Russian Republic."
