1. Read the text on page 161 of the Textbook.
2. Now listen to the reading of the text as you follow in the Textbook. Online, or Disk 2, Track 4.
   
3. Close the Textbook as you listen to the reading. Listen to the text several times if necessary until you can understand the entire text.
4. Now practice reading the text out loud and pay special attention to the accents. You may record the text and send your recording to the instructor to be checked for accuracy.
5. Do Упражнение 1 on page 162 of the Textbook.
6. Do Упражнение 8 on page 166 of the Textbook.
7. Do Exercise А on page 147 of the Workbook.
8. Do Exercise Л on page 151 of the Workbook. Practice reading the text out loud in Russian. You may record the text and send the recording to the instructor to be checked for accuracy.
9. Do online Exercise 0400. Questions on ЧТЕНИЕ. ОЧЕНЬ ПРИЯТНО ПОЗНАКОМИТЬСЯ.
