1. Read the text on page 148 of the Textbook.
2. Now listen to the reading of the text as you follow in the Textbook. Online, or Disk 2, Track 3.
   
3. Close the Textbook as you listen to the reading. Listen to the text several times if necessary until you can understand the entire text.
4. Now practice reading the text out loud and pay special attention to the accents.
5. Do online Exercise 0399.
6. Do Упражнение 1 on page 149 of the Textbook.
7. Do Упражнение 5, Part А on page 152 of the Textbook.
8. Do Exercise А on page 135 of the Workbook, or online Exercise 0574.
9. Do Exercise Н on page 140 of the Workbook. Practice reading the text out loud. You may send a recording of the text to the instructor to be checked for accuracy.
